The Bill Belichick vs Tom Brady debate is not looking good for Bill: why he was right not to offer a contract to Brady.

For all the people that said Belichick was the reason the Patriots won there six Superbowls and Brady is just a good system quarterback are looking pretty dumb right now.

The Patriots finished 7–9 had the worst passing offence in the league and missed the playoffs for the first time since Brady went out with a season ending knee injury in 2008. Meanwhile Brady joined the lowly Tampa bay Buccaneers and has brought them to a Superbowl in year 1.

Not only has Brady brought them to a Superbowl but he has completely changed the culture there. He has taught his new teammates how to win and instilled a new level of confidence in them that has them playing at a higher level.

There is no doubt in my mind that the reason for his high play this year is because of Bill. Brady has used not getting a contract from Bill and the Patriots last off-season as motivation this year.

Last off-season the Patriots were in on a trade from the Vikings to land wide out Stefon Diggs. The Patriots declined to match the offer from the Bills. Stefon went to the Bills and the fallowing day Brady is a Buccaneer.

Bill knew he had an inept offence during Brady’s final year and did nothing to make it better for the following year. So if Brady was still on the Patriots this year they wouldn’t be going to the Superbowl at best they may have squeaked into the playoffs and would have been eliminated on wildcard weekend.

So if bill wasn’t going to upgrade the offence for Brady coupled with the fact that it is widely reported that Belichick and his staff think they can win with any top 15 quarterback in the league then why bring Brady back?

So Tom can be miserable on a crap team? No thanks! If Bill wasn’t going to load up on talent to make another Superbowl run then he made the right choice. The mistake that Bill made was not finding an adequate replacement Brady especially if they really do believe they can plug any top 15 quarterback into there system and win. Instead they cheaped out and pinned there hopes on a former MVP quarterback that was coming off a major injury and does not look healthy with a suck bag offence around him.
